New Apple ID and iCloud

My Apple ID was set up with a email that I entered as .con not .com. I don't have my Password for 2 step verifaction. It was lost when moving. I set up a new iCloud account. Now not sure if it is being backed up to the original Apple ID that I can not access. I can and new apps to the new Apple ID and those updates. So is there any way to fix this problem? My IPhone updates everything with no problems from the new Apple ID and does not keep asking for a Apple ID password that does not exist. I have the 1st iPad and my iPhone 6s. The devices also will not sync. Any ideas?
