Why are none of my notifications and calls making sound

I've tried everything, it only vibrates and the Don't Disturbe move is off? Please help it's getting annoying when I'm having important texts but not hearing them go off. Is there a way I can get a notification sound bar to pop up?

1: Check your mute switch
2: Go to Settings > Notifications to adjust it the way you prefer.
3: Go to Settings > Sounds and disable Change With Buttons option under Ringer and Alerts, go to home screen and press the volume up button till it is maxed out.
