Can I download tv programmes to iCloud instead of my iPad storage?

Hello, I recently downloaded on to my 16G IPad, or tried to, a 6 series show I wanted, however, it downloaded just 3 and tells me I have insufficient storage for the remainder. This is correct as I only have 323MB available but I have a 50gb monthly storage plan on iCloud which I never come close to fully using.
I stupidly assumed I could delete the 3 shows I'd watched and release the memory but it's just one package, so to speak, and can't delete individual programmes. Is there a way to transfer the show on to iCloud from my iPad storage please.

If you purchased the TV shows via iTunes, you will not be able to upload them to iCloud because they are already available for re-download via the purchased section of iTunes. At least that's my understanding.
