How do I take out LA Times from my news spotlight?

Having to subscribe after clicking on the news link annoys me. I like other news though.

You can mute the channel which means LA times won't appear in the For you section or topic feeds. You can do this by finding a story by LA times in the For You, clicking on it, then clicking on the share button (bottom left of the screen) then scroll over till you see Mute Channel (between Report a Concern and More).

If you search LA times in the search option, under channels it says Los Angeles Times and it has a check mark next to it, click on the check mark and it becomes a plus button. That might unsubscribe you. (But idk about that).
