Cant click on my message icon on my iPhone, why?

Cant click on my message icon on my iphone

all of a sudden, i can no longer open text messages .notifications of new texts appear, however when i click on the message icon ,it flashes open and closes. i cannot open, read or send texts

Have you tried restarting your iPhone? You could also try to log out of iMessage and then back in.

Try resetting network setting. Go to setting, general, all the way at the bottom hit reset, and choose network settings.
