    It would sure be helpful if we knew what device the photos were deleted from. Anyway, if from an iPhone running iOS 8.xx, then the first place you should check is the "recently deleted" album via the Photos app. If they are in that particular album, choose to "recover" them. If they are not in that album then they are lost. If they were included in a recent backup, restore that particular backup.

    Where? in the iOS Photos? Mac Photos? Both have a 'recently deleted' category that keeps things for 30 days for you to go to and restore from...
