Is there a setting to limit the amount of messages/data stored on the iPad for the Outlook app?

My iPad has 60gb of "other" storage outside of photos, music, apps. I'm thinking this must be due to the mail apps - Mail, Outlook and maybe the Gmail app. Trying to figure out how to limit how messages / data storage in the app on the device.

Unless the specific apps are developed such that managing storage is a feature - there's nothing you can do...

As to the amount of "other" - that can build up when do a lot of media streaming... doing a back-up and the restoring the back up has been known to "refresh" what 'Other' is storing and get it to a minimum... and note that the coming iOS 8.3 has been better about the use of "other" in my observance running the beta.
