Hi I was wondering if it is normal for when you start your Mac everyone a loss up status bar appears as if I was losing yosemite every time I start my Mac up! I have a 2012 we inch MacBook pro! It seems to take longer to start up? Is anybody else having this same issue?

I haven't noticed anything like you've describe when I boot up my MacBook running Yosemite or the beta.

That is now the way Yosemite starts up. You get this "thermometer" screen instead of staring at a blank screen. There is nothing wrong with your Mac or with your install of Yosemite. Nothing is being lost.

    I actually prefer it.

My apologies for misunderstanding your original post, and as Hank has already stated, that's normal.
