Everything on my Mac Computer including photos...Help please. Grandbabies in my room again

Just got on my computer up and running after a visit from the Grandaughter and GGrandkids and everything is in black and white.....nothing is in color; could anybody get me off to a start on finding the problem. I don't want to have to take it in to be repaired, if necessary.
