my sent text messages come from my apple id email vs phone number - how do i change that ???

Go into settings > messages > send & receive then select your phone number. If your phone number is greyed out, go to contacts > find your contact card & make sure your number is listed as an iPhone then repeat the first steps I listed. Hope this helps!!!

Go to settings and scroll to messages and after opening that scroll down to send and receive and check your phone number instead.
