it says open next to installed apps, but when i press open nothing happens

i have a problem with my installed apps because it says open next to them an when i press open nothing happens what do i do

Try a reboot. Turn your phone off then back on.

I have never seen an app say open! You just tap on them to open them. Do you have a phone that is Jail Broken and have apps from Cydia?

They will say Open in the AppStore.

Karen I realize that and did know that but thank you. I answered the way I did because he said "His Installed Apps" so one would have to assume what is on his phone already.

This happened to me once and its annoying as ever!! Resetting my device fixed it. To do so, press and hold both the power button and home button down simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.
