Updated iphone 4 IOS 7 Problem

can someone please help before I throw my phone under a truck.
have a Apple iphone 4 and updated it yesterday coz ITunes told me to and now all I get on the screen is the iTunes symbol and the USB thing that plugs into the phone.
But it mustve wped everything from the phone coz now when I have a look at the iphone on iTunes it says that its been restored but N/A for a serial number. I cannot get the bloody iTunes logo from my screen no matter what I do

Then do as the screen suggests. Plug your device in to your computer and then initiate the computer's iTunes app. If it asks you to or prompts you to restore then go ahead and restore.

Ive already done that and still get the iTunes logo and a picture of the part (USB) u plug into your iphone...even when I turn phone off and on again,same thing keeps coming up on phone

Try rebooting your computer. Then plug your device into the computer and initiate iTunes app and follow the prompts.
