Well, I'm just about ready to bite the bullet and use my upgrade through AT&T... but I can't decide which iPhone to get.

I'm considering the iPhone 5S, in white/silver, 16gb capacity... or the iPhone 5C, white, 32gb capacity.

Why these two? Short answer: Both come in at a $199 price point with a 2-year upgrade. Main reason I want to spend around $200, is I can sell my AT&T Unlocked iPhone 4 16gb with all it's accessories and hopefully come close to breaking even.

So, which would you go with? and why? What are the real world pros and cons of either?

Either would be great. But if you like a lot of apps and media music and videos the 32 is the way to go. I had a 16 4s and it was cool but I really had to manage space. I have a 64 5s now basically because it was all the Sprint Store had I don't regret getting it I have everything in it that was in the 4s with 47gig to spare.

Oh! Another option I forgot about: Best Buy still has a few iPhone 5 32gb models left in stock. I could pick up one of these for the same $199 as the 5C 32gb or 5S 16gb.

5s also has a 64 bit chip that really helps when playing games like infinity blade. The other part I believe the 5s also will have a high retail value in two years.

Not everyone will buy it to play blade... Other uses for the awesome processor besides games.

Also most iPhones have good re sale value anytime IMO

Not to mention the fact that 64 bit itself has no speed improvement. Its just depended on how much memory it can handle.

So I picked up the iPhone 5 from Best Buy. 32gb White for $199. Came running iOS 6. Just finished restore/update to iOS 7and setting up as new instead of using my backup from my iPhone 4. Really nice so far.

I was still really torn between this and the white 32gb iPhone 5C, especially once I had the chance to play with them both in-hand. I was really impressed with the feel of the 5C. Totally made me nostalgic for the 3G/3GS... but the more premium feel of the iPhone 5, and the nearly identical innards and specs, eventually swayed me that way.

Both really good phones, but the i5 at that price is great. With 32g is a plus.

After a few days thinking about it... If I'm going to be under 2-year contract for a phone, I don't want last years model. I'll be 3 years behind when I'm due for my next upgrade.

So, I returned the 32gb i5 to Best Buy... and ended up paying the extra $100+ and picked up a 32gb iPhone 5S in Silver from the Apple Store.
