Hello,

My Apple Watch won't count stairs climbed on it's own, only when I have my iPhone with me. I've tried rebooting both and that didn't do it. Any ideas?

thanks

14 today. I'm still wearing my Fitbit One for comparison's sake. But I only had my iPhone with me for 4 of them, so that's all that's in the Health App. I know I could add them in manually, but I'd like my Apple Watch do track them on it's own.

You may be right, but on the Health and Fitness section of the Apple Watch page it says "So Apple Watch measures all the ways you move, such as walking the dog, taking the stairs, or playing with your kids. " I assumed that meant counting stairs.

Apple Watch doesn't track # of stairs climbed, directly. It tracks steps. You can gain steps by taking stairs, where it gets its measurements.
