When will the Apple TV be available in retail stores?

I was in Walmart over the weekend with intentions to purchase an Apple TV and they didn't have it. Could it have just been that one retail store or has it not been released in retail stores yet?

Other than an Apple Store, Best Buy is the only retailer that I'm aware of and they won't start selling it until November 4th, I think.
