Walkie Talkie app w/ headset?

I am a wedding photographer and my second photographer and I always use walkie talkies to communicate to each other throughout the day. The issue is, it's not comfortable for either of us to run a wire up to our ear through our clothes. The wire gets in the way and I would rather not look like a secret agent.

I know there are walkie talkie apps for iOS but is there any, or a way, that we can use bluetooth headsets to connect to our phone and communicate that way? Making a phone call is out of the question for us. We need to tell each other things on the fly. Thanks!

The only walkie talkie app I can think of is Voxer, but I don't know if it'll accomplish what you want it to do

I know I'm late here. But I'm in the same boat you are. I recently found Zello does the trick for me. I can actually control the conversation with my headset button too.

you can try wechat? it works great a few friends use it with me and you can create groups so i think its awesome
