Zenbook Pro 15in or MacBook Pro 13in?

I'm on the fence of buying the zenbook pro 15 inch ($1420) or the 2015 MacBook Pro 13in with 512gb storage, 16gb RAM and 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 ($2200). I've never owned a Mac or even a fast computer. My main uses would be for web browsing, streaming and some photo editing. I'm an amateur photographer and am new to Photoshop but I would like a computer that i could play around Photoshop with. Since it's not for professional use, would it be a waste of $800 or should I just stick with the zenbook? The smaller screen size of the MacBook doesn't bother me (I almost prefer it).

Maybe. If you've never owned or used a Mac, the change in comparison to Windows may be a bit much. If you're already familiar with Windows and you are about to spend $1,400 or more dollars, you need to be sure that that investment is on a computer that "you" will find useful day to day.
