Why is my Remind App on my iPhone 5 with newest OS not working?

Every time I open the remind app, no matter how many times I have restarted the iPhone, I get a black screen. If I wait a while, it will 'load' and pull up all my reminders and I can edit them and such. But most of the time I will attempt to use the app and it opens to a black screen. -(iPhone 5 iOS 8.4.1)

3rd party app or stock?

Update to iOS 9 later today,..see if that fixes it.
