Why do iTunes keep asking me for my password, ID and my answers to the security questions?

I am trying to purchase tunes from itunes, using a gift card. It shows a credit on my phone but when I go to purchase, it keeps asking me for my password id and my answers to the security questions. I do this and it just keeps repeating itself.

Have you tried logging out of iTunes, then logging back in? Worth a try.
