What is this particular connector?

I'm trying to fix my macbook. There are two connections on the underside of the logic board when you remove it. One is a short cord, on is a long cord that connects to a little dot in the corner. What is this? The connector head seems to be missing.

First it would be nice to have an image to show what you are inquiring about. It is difficult to answer you properly without one. My best advice would be to look up the teardown of your device at iFixit. They have the teardown of almost any device on the market. They supply lots of images with the teardown, so you will most likely find your answer.
