Verifying update

iPhone tells me to update to iOS 9.1. I do everything it asks. Phone then says "verifying update" a and it spins around forever. I finally have to shut phone down

Welcome to iMore! Try connecting your phone to iTunes and updating it that way. It should pop up automatically if there's an update available.

It does that for a while, but I never had it go too long. How long is forever to you?
