Please help someone who is not very knowledgeable with these types of things

So I haven't upgraded the firmware for my iPod Touch 4G in almost two months now. Its currently at iOS 4.3. Would my best option be to upgrade to 4.3.2 and continue with the jailbreaking from there? I'm only interested in the untethered jailbreaks. Also what program should I download to jailbreak my iPod? So far I only know about redsn0w and greenpois0n. I appreciate any and all help.
