People are accidentally calling 911 while they sleep thanks to an Apple Watch safety feature.

I sleep with my Watch on almost every night, and this hasn't happened to me... thank goodness! It seems strange to me that this is in an isolated area, and that it's happening so much that it's creating a strain on services! ODD!

I did accidentally do this one time when I first got my  watch years ago. I was trying to restart it and without realizing it called 911 Boy was I embarrassed when PO Kelly showed up at our door We laughed about it and she went on her way.

Luckily this has never happened to me in my sleep

i think it could happen to anyone. I almost did as well luckily before it connected i was able to disconnect right away

My watch goes into DND and Sleep Mode automagically every evening at 10pm. Without that, I can see HOW this can happen, but it happening to this many people is a little hard to believe. We’re not being told the entire story.
