New Lifeproof Fre iPhone 5s Power Button Not Working

I just got my iPhone 5s Lifeproof Fre case today and everything works fine except for the power button won't even go down. Anyone else have this problem? Is this because it's a new case? I'm using assistive touch right now in hopes that the power button will eventually work with the case. Thanks!

it should be tight but not to the point that it doesn't work- I would return for a different one
