Air Ace is a humorous and highly addictive World War One aerial combat game, featuring a cast of characters including the moustachioed hero, Percy Plantagenet Sommerset-Smythe.

Best of all, it?s free!

With machine guns and bombs at the ready, players follow Percy?s adventures in stunning graphics through the Western Front, the frozen hell of an Eastern Campaign and all the way to the searing heat of the desert.

Contending with aerial targets along the way, players must pulverise ground targets from trenches to bunkers as Percy braves bruising battles in his trusty airplane. His commander, Major Barkington, guides Percy as he navigates the road to victory!

Earning points as they go, players can us them to purchase upgrades from machine guns to flame throwers to give the enemy a real thrashing.

The iPhone/iPod version is available to download now! A full glorious HD iPad version will be available in the coming weeks.

Thanks for taking the time on the project Greedy, I've tried it and made it to level 5. Noticed that in the levels where you depend on the bombs, if you spend them and have to get more, the extra bombs would not appear floating in the air for a 2nd time.

Also, maybe a way to know where the floating extra points are? Like a mini map or something?

But hey, I liked it! I'm probably going to keep it!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

The game gets trickier as it levels go on. Becomes a test of using right resources for the right mission! I toyed with a mini map but will keep it in mind.

Don't forget when you accumulate a few points, you can use these to 'buy' upgrades to you 'kite' in the Hangar. Better machine guns (which don't jam) and bigger bombs!

Also check out special weapons
- rear firing cannon ('The Butler) will clobber that pesky fighter on your tail
- Oil Cannon ('The Douser') will blind your opponents so they can't shoot you (try it on enemy fighters too!!!)
- Flame Thrower ('The Roaster') a devastating weapon can help unlock tricky missions!

Air Ace for iPad should be out in a week I hope (depends how long Apple take to review it!!)

Also due out is an update for the iPhone / iPod Touch version with some small fixes and improved game balance.
