Is Microsoft Office on the Mac still important?

Rumor has it that Microsoft is on the cusp of releasing a new version of Office for Mac. It's been more than three years since the last version of Office came out. Things have changed a lot. Is Microsoft Office still important?

Yes. Having Microsoft office is a huge deal. Without it, I couldn't own a Mac, I would have to have a PC. It's also vital for business use.

I use it as well. Just makes it easier since mist people I know use office

My work revolves around Office. I, too, would have to move to a PC, if Office were not offered for the Mac.
