iPhone battery degredation bug??

When i charge my phone overnight, why when i pull it off the charger it goes down to 99% instantly?

this happens to you too? I thought mine was doing that because of its drop to a concrete ground.. hm but anyway. I reboot my 3GS and that fixes it. oh and whats weird and is pissing me off is I'll leave my 3GS on the charge all night ans wake up with it being at 99%... that really pisses me off..

As Apple recommend, monthly recalibration of the iphone's battery should sort this.

follow up...

I turned 3G off, and now things are back to normal. However, my town only has Edge, and I had always left 3G on with no problems for the first several weeks I owned the phone. My town is only capable of Edge and the nearest 3G signal is about 30 miles away. I'm not sure why this became a problem all of a sudden.

I had previously mentioned that I saw my signal switch from Edge to 'o' (GPRS), but then it would switch right back to Edge. Maybe since the Edge signal has been weaker/inconsistent lately, the phone was trying to find a 3G signal too?
