iPhone 15 overheating 'normal' under some conditions, but be careful about which charger you use

Tiny, powerful A17 + smaller design + titanium frame + poorly optimized apps = excessive heat. It's simple if you understand how tech works and don't spend all your time trying to deny reality.

Wait, did Apple just admit that the new phones are running warmer than they should?? Yeah, they did. I'd hate to be the guy calling it fake news when the company actually admits it's true. Of course they're blaming it on a bug in OS as you would expect.

Then all iPhone 15 pro and pro max would over heat.

Talk about denying reality.

That would be bad, but the only visual evidence of overheating currently being shown are of “extreme benchmarking” and meta apps which overheats even older model iPhones.

Oh look, post number 3 of the thread, I would hate to be the guy that obviously doesn’t read the thread they are posting in.

Charging, watching videos, playing games...it sounds like it is overheating under otherwise normal use conditions.

We'll see how it shakes out then

It's not just her reporting this. It is all over the place now. You think some product liability firm isn't getting ready with a consumer class action?

It’s exactly a week later.

How is the pr fiasco going? Do you still think they will have a class action lawsuit due to Joanna’s coverage?

It turned out it was the Instagram app, causing the issue due to private meta apis and it was resolved with Apple working with meta for an updated Instagram app and the release iOS 17.0.3.
