Below are some of the specs I managed to pull while watching the keynote:

iMac Pro Specs
  • Same design ats 27" iMac, but in Space Grey
  • 5k display
  • Available in 8-core, 10-core or 18-core options
  • Radeon Vega graphics
  • up to 16GB VRAM
  • up to 128GB ECC Memory
  • up to 4TB of 3GB/SSD
  • 4x Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • 10GB ethernet built-in
Probably missed some things, but the above is most of it. All of that, coming in December, for $4,999 USD.

What do you think?

That's a tad too expensive for typical computer use, in my opinion, so heck no! I am NOT getting one...

It's beautiful and I can't wait for the reviews and videos at the end of this year, but my usage needs hardly justify it. Alas.

I love the iMac Pro and would love to own one (who wouldn't!), but it's just way to expensive even if I saved up for 100 years lol.

I think the iMac 21.5" 4k (non pro) would be perfect for most people. At $1,299 it's much more affordable 😃

I really, really want one but not at that price. I am a developer so a "pro" but I don't need all that power.

I have budgeted the funds in the 1st quarter of 2018 to purchase an iMac Pro to replace one of my 2104 Retina 27” iMac units.

I will probably get the entry level model which I am hoping will be a 6-8 core unit with a 1TB SSD. I am on the list to be notified once the unit becomes available. Now it’s the ole waiting game.

I am considering selling my late 2016 MBP and one of my LG 27" displays I got early last year. If I did get the iMac PRO I would't need 2 extra displays so 1 LG would do fine.
