ibooks, stanza, epub books

Okay long story, my local library offers free epub books (borrow for 21 days) and when I downloaded one it won't open in ibooks. The ipad won't allow me to download it online....so how can I get my FREE borrowed books to work on my ipad?? Please help!

Most libraries in the US are using Overdrive to supply Adobe Digital Edition DRM epubs.

I have seen any iOS app that claims to support that flavor of DRM. For that matter, my own library clearly states that ipads are not supported for Adobe DRM epubs.
