It does not ring when dialed first time have to dial twice before it rings what is wrong with my phone? I miss lots of calls what can be done to stop this?

Check to make sure that the Do Not Disturb feature isn't enabled.

Just like just_me_D said. My mother has this same issue and she saw the half moon on her screen when I pointed it out. That is likely the cause.
