I cannot make calls, send text messages or use the internet. What's wrong with my device?

My 3g sim card for my new iphone 5s is activated. I cannot call, send messages, use internet because i cannot see my provider. So no access to my cellular data. Please help me.

Sounds like you may need a new SIM card or something if it can't see your network
