How can I setup my new iphone 5 without sim ? It is not accepting my sim , It shows a message

I purchased new iphone 5 from UAE but once i opened it in pakistan it is not accepting my sim card in pakistan , i tried many times but it is showing a message " please insert a valid sim" .please help me out how can i setup my iphone ??

Looks like you purchased a sim locked iPhone.

You have no other choice but to contact the UAE carrier and have it unlocked.
If they'll do it is another question, though.
