Does iTunes always ask for Password and permission on paid apps?

Ok, so I was still within the 15 minute window since I last entered my password for a download of an app using a promo code. So I find a paid ($1.99) app I want and tap to buy. It downloads without asking for anything. IDK. I figured they asked on paid apps regardless of time. At least for approval. Maybe not.

There is a setting in settings -> general -> restrictions that allows you to change the time interval for entering a password for the App Store and iTunes Store plus in app purchases to immediately

You beat me to it...;)...like you, I have mine set for "Immediately", just in case. Ledsteplin, did you, by chance, make a change to that particular setting in the Restrictions section?

Thanks, y'all! The time interval was not the issue. I just expected iTunes to have me verify the purchase since it was a paid app. It just surprised me that they did not. I'm not worried about it though.
