I got the apple leather case. Also got the super thin Caudabe case. It’s .35mm thin for those that don’t like too much case. It’s called the Veil XT.

I got the gold in 64GB, the switched to space gray in 256GB!

I know it’s an older thread, but definitely a fan of the leather cases. They last really well and age nicely. They have protected my iphones very well too.

Yeah it’s really fast. Sometimes it doesn’t do it, but I’d say 3 out of 4 times I get that gray line.

I did visit the Apple Store this evening. Tried Turing off a few of the demo space grey phones and booting them back up. None of them had this issue. So I swapped out my phone. The phone that I swapped out for has the same issue...:/ Go figure...lol

Definitely use a screen protector. I got my 7 plus from apple and it had a small scratch out of the box. I put a screen protector on it and you can't even see it. Plus, it keeps the phone protected from future scratch and things too.

My wife was having this issue as well. As stated above, she did a full restore and started as a new iPhone. She did not use an iCloud backup and that seems to have fixed the issue for her.

So, I got my new iPhone 7 plus as did my wife. I updated the software on both phones to 10.0.2. I believe that's the most recent. When we do hard resets on the phones...power button plus volume down...we get really strange looking screens. Sort of distorted grey news paper looking or...
