I'm not sure were both on the same page or even having the same problem. Let me break down my problem.
1) I have no backup files on my PC. I had none prior to the release of iOS5. My mistake really, I should have backed up the night before.
2) With 1) in mind, I have to attempt to backup...
Confused. Surely if I restore to iOS 5 without first doing a backup, I lose all my apps, music, settings etc.? Surely I need to perform the backup before I update, so I can then restore my backup once iOS 5 is installed?
I'm just about to jack it in. Can't understand why the backup is taking so long. Surely it's just my data synced to my PC!? I'll wait till the morning when hopefully everything is back up and running as normal.
Hi!
I've downloaded the update just fine but my backup is taking forever and appears to freeze really early on in the process, the progress bar does not budge.
Any suggestions please!?
Thank you!

Wife is having a baby, it's overdue and is looking more and more likely to be born around Christmas/Boxing Day! What an amazing Christmas present, best we could ever ask for.
Still, a fee iPad would come in a very close second! Yeah, that's my entry!
Hey peeps, does anyone know if IPSW file's are region encoded? I'm in the UK and downloaded the 4.2 IPSW file and wondering if it would differ country-to-country? Thanks.
Does anyone have a collection of general sound ringtones? What I mean by that is, I'm not after ringtones made from clips of copyrighted music or any other music for that matter. What I'm more after, is similar ringtones to those that come preinstalled with the iPhone i.e. different telephone...
Restored then tried Greenpois0n. Still the same battery issues. Running without Jailbreak again. As much as I like what JB can bring to the table, it's way too much of a hit on the battery to make it worthwhile, IMHO.
It's always the same after a new jailbreak. Some people seem to suffer with battery issues, others don't. All I can say is the difference is VERY noticeable. Nothing else has changed for me other then Limera1n jailbreak and a few well known Cydia apps.
It HAS to be Limera1n. No other...
AptBackup can be problematic. Apparently, PkgBackup is more reliable, but is also at a cost. This is just from me reading forums, and not an opinion I have formed through usage of both.
