why is capitan taking 12 hours to down load is there any quicker option?

It has taken 12 hours to down load capitan on my Apple desktop and I want to now download it on to my lap top but 12 hours is ludicrous any ideas please?

Are you having network issues? I did not have any problem downloading the update in about 15 minutes or less.

It's because of the instant/heavy demand on the servers.

Go to your App Store and then to the Purchased tab. Tap on the El Capitan download and pause the download. Wait about 10-15 seconds and then tap to resume it. It should complete the download within 10-15 minutes...
