I have the Product Red 8 Plus and have experienced no such issues. After all the steps you've taken, I would be returning it for a new one. Period. We pay a premium and therefore should experience premium. Not sure if you can return it but if you can, do it.

I went with the standard SS. Reason being any micro scratches obtained over time can be buffed out. The space black SS is susceptible to scratches too but can’t be buffed out, I have seen photos and if or when they get scratched it doesn’t look pretty lol
