Default Replaced battery and phone not working

so I thought i was clever and could replace the battery
oh no it all went well until i switched it back on and the screen wasnt working.
I could toggle the mute switch and it would vibrate, emails worked as i got the notification tone, but I tried ringing it and it went straight to the answer machine.
so I took it apart and found the number one conector had fallen apart on the lcd side of things.
so what do i do next? I will have to order a lcd screen

any help or advice apreciated I feel like a right muppet

Is the LCD cable pushed down all the way? make sure it is. That's typically the issue.
