Default [HELP] iPhone 4 Unlocking with 5.1.1

    Hello guys.

A friend of mine who's just new to jailbreak stuff "accidentally" reseted all settings to default as using iOS 5.1.1 with unlock.

Now, she can't use her iPhone because she needs to activate with a valid SIM (this is AT&T's model). Since she upgraded without custom iOS, she probably upgraded her baseband as well, right? I'm not quite sure which baseband her iPhone has now. She hasn't jailbroken for 5.1.1 yet.

The point is: can I unlock again her iPhone 4 from scratch using 5.1.1?

If it was a normal restore then it updates the bb and no you can not unlock it without a factory unlock .. To get a factory unlock phone must be out of contract and you must be a AT&T customer

I'm in the exact same situation... The best you can do now is an untethered jailbreak... there's no unlock for the latest baseband yet, unless you contact AT&T and they do it for you (not sure how this works, but many people did it)
