Spirit Jailbreak Question

I have iTunes 9.0.3 installed, and I also have my iPhone 3GS jailbroken with Spirit, running 3.1.

My wife has a non-jailbroken iPhone 3G, and she wants an app, which asks for the latest version of the iPhone firmware. To do this, I need to update iTunes, to the latest version, which I believe to be 9.2.1.

My question is, if I update iTunes, and connect my iPhone to it, will it brick my iPhone? I remember, when Spirit first came out, and I used it, a lot of people were saying not to update iTunes.

Will it just undo my jailbreak, or will it actually brick my iPhone?

Your phone will be fine as long as u don't upgrade the firmware. If u have an issue with iTunes for the 3Gs, comex has a fix the iTunes 9.2 issue on his site Spirit.

So, if I upgrade to the latest iTunes, and have my iPhone connected, say, to add songs to my iPhone, there is no risk of either bricking my iPhone, or undoing my Jailbreak?

When iTunes prompts you to update, just say no.
