Restore Question

OK, I'm having all kinds of issues with Safari crashing...constantly. And recently I thought it was running real slow when it did work so I did some speed tests and I'm getting 0.18Mps, pathetic. I was going to restore it and see what happens but since this is the first time for me to restore, do I need to do anything to save the contacts etc. or will it all be safe?

Well if you are going to restore back to normal be prepared to start from scratch. Do not use a backup file... start as a new iPhone or you will run into more issues than you have before...

By start from scratch do you mean as to loading all the music, apps and contacts again? Isn't that just a sync process?

1. You will need to sync your contacts/calendar items with an outside service (Google or Mobile Me).

2. When you restore, it will give you the option to "Set up as new iPhone" or "Restore from Backup". Choose "new".
