Will this scan your iPod or only iTunes library? What I'm getting at is my old computer with music on it not purchased from iTunes has crashed, therefore I cannot access that iTunes music library. My new computer obviously does not have any of the music from my old computer. If you have music that only exists on your iPod then iTunes Match will not pick it up. You need to get it into an iTunes library first.

Once you purchase iTunes match, is the best way to get the better quality songs on your iPod to restore/reset it and then place the songs on there again?

I use the same iTunes id on my computer (ancient 8+ yr laptop), iPhone 5, iPad 3 and iPad "1". The two iPads use a different iCloud ID. My issue is none seem to be loading iCloud music!!! The process was complete and I turned on imatch on all of them and turned them off/on. Any ideas?
