ITunes not connecting to iPhone - (0xe8000022)

I get the follow message

"iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xe8000022)"

Please tell me how to resolve this issue.

I own a iPhone 3GS running MAC OSX 10.5,8, I phone is unlocked and is jailbroken.

I really need help. I have tried other site but do not understand what they are saying.
