My iPod 5 is stuck on the apple logo and it isnt turning on

My sister had an iPod and she asked her friend to jailbreak it and one day it just turned off and when she tried to turn it on it was just on the logo. Since then it doesn't turn on except for the logo. How can I fix it?

Connect it to your computer and restore it via iTunes.
