Brand new iPod touch 5th

Hello. I bought iPod touch 5th gen. But it's not turning on I think it's fully drained so then I charge it there's a charge icon appeared but 3-4hours later the icon still there. I still can't open my ipod. What's the problem with my brand new iPod touch 5th gen. Please help me.

I don't know, but since it's "brand new", I'd take it back and swap it out for another one OR is you live near an Apple Store, make a genius bar appointment and have Apple Swap it out for you.

I agree with JustMe'D. Take it to the nearest Apple Store and have them replace it.
