My sister and her husband just got their first smart phones this weekend. My sister went with the iPhone 4 and my brother and law got some sort of LG Android phone. I was trying to show them how they could use GTalk and avoid txt message charges when talking with each other. For my sister, I downloaded Beejive for GTalk and she already had a Google account, so I thought we'd be set. She kept getting an invalid username or password error though. We went to the talk.google.com site and she could sign in fine there, but Beejive wouldn't take her sign on information. I signed in as myself to be sure that it wasn't a problem with the phone. I got in fine. She tried again, but no luck.
Now my sister uses Yahoo for mail instead of GMail, so her username ends in @yahoo.com. My Google account is an @GMail.com username. Is the Yahoo.com user name the problem here?
