Excessive data usage

New to iPhone, my 6s is using an excessive amount of my monthly data plan. I keep wifi on all the time and unless I am in the car, I'm connected to wifi. Can anyone offer some assistance? THANKS!

are you streaming music and/or video via your iPhone while in your car? Anyway, you can try resetting the Network settings.

Look under your cellular stats. That will tell you usage of your data and what is burning it.

Go to Settings > Cellular > scroll down to see what is using data > make changes accordingly.

You can also look in settings / cellular to see if "wifi assist" is turned on. This will use mobile data if the wifi connection is poor.

If wifi assist is turned on it will also display the amount of data the feature has used. I just recently noticed this but it makes me feel better than using wifi assist isn't killing my data plan (as of today it has only accounted for about 24mb of data usage).

Also go to Settings -> iCloud -> iCloud Drive and disable cellular data there.
