On my iPhone 6s iOS 9.1, in contacts, why can't I change My Card?

iPhone 6s iOS 9.1 Contacts cannot change My Card

Contacts came over to my new iPhone from my iPad (4th Generation) via iCloud. So far so good.
Then I noticed out of date info in the Notes field. Also, I want to remove my middle name as I never use it.

After trying in vain to have edits accepted, I went into settings on both decides and changed Default Account from iCloud to Hotmail so that the devices wouldn't get confused auto-updating each other's contacts.

I was able to successfully edit My Card on my iPad to remove the note and my middle name.

However, on the iPhone, I open My Card, make the changes, touch "Done" and it looks as though the changes were accepted. But when leave, "My Card" reverts back. This is driving me nuts!

I even tried deleting "My Card" but as expected, it wouldn't delete.

Oh, and also, none of my email addresses have ever known my middle name. (I hadn't signed in when I asked the question,sry)

Solved
Creat d new coo tacos entry containing correct information and then went to settings, Mail,Contacts,Calendars and selected the corrected entry beside "my info"
