Hey all....I just bought a new Verizon iPhone 6 on Swappa and this is the first time I've done this. I've got a couple questions someone could hopefully answer....1. Can I just take the nano-sim out of my 5S and put it in the 6? 2. Do I need to call Verizon after I do this? I mean, shouldn't the 6 just now be my working phone on my account since it's the same nano-sim that was in my 5S?

-Thanks...I apologize for the rather elementariness of my questions.

Verizon will need the new device's MEID for legacy 3G support... you'll need to call Verizon customer service or you can use MyVerizon via a web browser on computer and change devices... Once verizon has the new MEID on your line, then you just put the sim from the old phone in the new one.

I just popped the SIM from my 5s into my 6 Plus. Didn't have to contact Verizon at all. Also, my device was updated in the My Verizon app on my phone.

Dc in places where LTE doesn't exist you will have no service because Verizon needs to have the Meid so your phone can connect to 3G if needed
